Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth – problem freeing Health Wiseman

Greetings.

I’ve been playing through Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth lately, but am afraid I am stuck at one point: I am unable to free the Health Wiseman from the Virtual Trip game. I have even consulted several solution (walkthrough) files on the subject, but nothing seems to help.

I have keyed in the digicode for the Health Wiseman’s room. After this I keyed in the code for the Fertility Wiseman’s room, talked with his wife, and left. I played the Virtual Trip game but it just showed the sequence with Woodruff shooting a monster (DOOM-like game sequence). The Health Wiseman is supposed to be trapped inside the game, but I’m unable to free him. No matter how many times I play Virtual Trip, he isn’t in there.

My saved game is just before you are to save Co Cott at the “eye party”, and I am unable to create the diagnostic formula since I didn’t yet save the Health Wiseman and get his medical symbol. All of the wisemen except the Health Wiseman are in the council. When I try to approach the Health Wiseman’s open door, nothing happens.

D’oh! I don’t want to have to start the game over from scratch, and anyway I don’t see how that could possibly help since I did everything right to begin with! HELP ME, please. I appreciate any suggestions.
