ParticipantHey, I’ve been replaying Quest for Glory 1 recently and I’ve ALWAYS wondered, when you break into the old ladies house, whats the deal with the birdcage. Whats the point of it? You can cover it, but why?
Also, the barracks. That place and the guy are useless.

that’s a good question. was it supposed to be a reference to KQ2?

Are you playing the original or the VGA remake? From what I remember in the remake, if you bug the bird more than once the cat will get angry and attack you. I’ve tried breaking into the barracks many times but nothing has ever come of it. That guy can kill you if you attack him..

ParticipantI think the bird cage is just there to make the robbery more interesting. I think robbing houses was the best thing in the Quest for Glory games, especially in the early games. One thing I’ve always wondered, is it possible to steal Otto’s yo-yo? I remember someone in the game alludes to the fact that it’s valuable. I also always tried breaking into and robbing the keep with no luck.
