Stats in QfG3 – Detect Magic and Climbing

Does anyone know of any way or anywhere to increase skill in Detect Magic in QfG3??

For that matter, what about climbing? I have a theory that Thieves MIGHT be able to increase their climbing ability by repeatedly scaling the pillar with the Pegasus statue in the Lost City, but I’ve never tried it.

if you want to practice a spell, just cast it anywhere.. you don’t have to be somewhere in particular

It seems the only place to practice Detect Magic and actually have it raise your score is in your bedroom at the Inn.  Doing so tanks your Honor score but you can get that back up by buying a tone of meat from the vendor in Tarna (for very cheap) and giving it to the Thief at night at the bazaar.
