SQ3 – Junk Yard Dog

In the area in the ship you start off in (I think it’s the first screen south of your escape pod), you get a message when you “look” saying, “…all this place needs is a junk yard dog…”.

I remember seeing screenshots of SQ3 in a Radio Shack catalog way back, this screen being one of the ones pictured. Sure enough in that screenshot there is a big green bulldog.

I’ve tried numerous times to get him to appear with no success, I’m wondering if it was just in some pre release version that the screenshots were taken from or if it actually exists in the game.

Anyone know anything about this?
