SQ1 VGA Copy Protection Etc

I’ve got the SQ Collection CD, though that’s it. No manual, no nothing. As such, I can’t get the cartridge from the ship’s computer at the beginning. I’ve also scoured the ‘net for the stuff, but all SQ sites I’ve seen don’t have it. Any help would be appreciated. Also, is it just me, or does anyone else with a relatively fast computer (something in the past six years) have problem with blowing up the spider (or any other speed related issues?)
