ParticipantHey there Ken and Roberta….
First off, let me tell you how much both of you (and every other living soul who worked at SIERRA ON-LINE) have influenced my life. My father brought home a Tandy 1000 computer to write his latest novel, “Bus Ride”. Each and every night, he had to ask me “ever so politely” to “please get off the DARN computer”. You see…I was obsessed…with “King’s Quest”. My obsession grew…along with my father’s…we played together…we BONDED. He left when I was 13. I am now 30 years young. We have since re-connected and we get along splendidly. We each share fond memories of the “King Quest” series. I just recently had a daughter (she is now ten-months-old) and my wife and I named her Sierra. I am hoping for her to follow in the footsteps of “Rosella” and not “Passionate Patti”…LOL. Enough of the old school….you both are amazing in your own ways…Currently, I am writing a screenplay for Sony Pictures. You and Roberta, as well as my father, have given me “inspiration” for “creation”. Comedies are my primary function, however, given the right material, I think that I am extremely capable of practically anything. My question to you both is this: Has Hollywood ever come knocking? What is the closest Sierra game to be made into a feature film? I have to say….I would LOVE to see “King’s Quest” starring Haley Joel Osment as Sir Graham and Michael Caine as King Edward. You both have so much to offer as Hollywood is in a creative slump. Have you ever thought about writing screenplays yourself?
I hope that this message finds you and your family well as I wish nothing but the best for you all. You guys are truly pioneers in every aspect of the gaming industry. I was nothing short of saddened when I heard of the sale of Sierra On-Line and your departure from the company. Thank you for your time and your response.
Terry, Tabitha…..and new addition, Sierra Elizabeth Roehrig. Thanks again for numerous sleepness nights!
