Plans For The Site

Hello, everyone!

Since there are now two new site administrators (counting myself), I’m sure many of you are wondering what will happen to the various plans and projects for the site.  Since this is just my second day on the job, so to speak, there’s not really a whole lot I can tell you yet.  What I do want to tell you, though, is what my own personal vision is for the site. 🙂

I want this site to contain every possible scrap of information or material that pertains to Sierra.  I want this site to eventually house not just information about the games, but the games themselves, available for download.  How this could be done, I do not know yet.  It may take a very, very long time to accomplish, but I will do everything I can to see it come true.  I want there to be archives of all possible scraps of information…InterAction Magazine, hint books, faqs, tips, game inserts, newspaper or store ads….anything and everything from the most common to the most obscure or ‘unimportant’.  I want there to be archives of music, archives of art, both official and unofficial.  Fanart, fanfiction, fanmade anything.  Some will be accomplished through direct links on the website itself.  Some will be accomplished via links to sites dedicated to a certain aspect (for example, QuestStudios being dedicated to Sierra music).  I want this site to have it all.  I want this site to be THE site for all things Sierra.  I want this site to be the one people go to first when they need information on Sierra and its games.  I also want the site to chronicle the history of Sierra.  It’s a personal wish and dream that ex-employees of Sierra’s golden years will visit the site and contribute in some way.  I won’t be satisfied, I won’t be happy, until this site is everything it possibly can be and contains everything it can.  I want this site to be something we can all be proud of.  I want this site to be a place that honors all that Ken and Roberta did for us all.  More than anything, I want this site to be WORTHY of them.  It’s going to take A LOT of work.  It won’t happen tomorrow or the day after or the day after that or even the day after that.  It’ll take work and dedication.  I’m here for the longhaul.  I’m here till the end, and I hope you all are with me. 🙂

I’m sure there’s some things I’ve left out of what I wrote above that are part of my vision for this site.  I can tell you, though, that my vision for the site is total.  With Ken and Faith (the other new site admin), I won’t be the only one working on the site.  Together, though, I know this site can one day be what we all want it to be.

I hope this message gives you all an idea of what I’d like to do for the site, and I hope it gives you all hope. 🙂
