GuestHi,
Not sure if anyone is around from the old Sierra forum days, back in the late 90’s-early 2000’s. I grew up on Sierra games and they were a critical part of my childhood and early adulthood. As an introvert, I loved getting lost in the adventure games. My first game was Quest of Glory 3 that my uncle introduced me to. That was my gateway drug into Sierra and adventure games. Loved Laura Bow, Gabriel Knight as well. Also really enjoyed King’s Quest. I played a lot of other Sierra games such as Gold Rush, LSL, Lighthouse, EcoQuest, Pepper’s Adventure in Time, Space Quest. Basically anything Sierra was good!
I also loved the Quest for Glory forum and all my friends from there. Hope that some of us are still lurking around. A lot of the newer adventure games haven’t really scratched the adventure game itch (graphics might be a lot better but the story line, puzzles, characters are lacking). I played the GK1 20th anniversary remastered edition and while it was good, it would have been nicer if they had made GK4 instead. I think GK1 was already good as it was, didn’t need to be remade. I also loved the AGI Studio remake of QfG2. I still want to replay QfG5 but I’m now a Mac person and I don’t think the game will run on my system.
