i agree. i think the ds is a perfect platform for the genre. the touch screen would be a great input device for such a game. the only problem is that adventure games have never gone over well on consoles, or even on pc’s these days. so i doubt that any will ever come out.

Adventure game on the Nintendo DS? Of course: Another Code.
It’s really an excellent adventure game (I’ve finished it). You’ll find it’s a typical adventure game, with a number of interesting innovations, made possible by the DS specifications.
The only downside is that it’s a little too short, but it’s still so much better than nothing!

I truly believe the future of adventure gaming may be in Japan (Shenmue, Another Code).

Another point worth to note on the DS are the RPG´s that are coming (from the 90´s) like Shinning Force and Phantasy Star. they are not Adventure games but are part of us just like we were part of that decade.

I agree, Another Code (released as Trace Memory in North America) is an excellent game.  It makes good use of the DS technology for some of its puzzles, too.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is also a very good adventure game on the DS.  It’s becoming hard to find, though. 🙁

So far an English version hasn’t been announced, but they have an English website up, which seems promising.
