my personal thanks

Well. I just want to say… I LOVE YOU! I’ve grown up in Oakhurst, and I’ve always been a Sierra On-line fan… well actually, I remember EXACTLY when it started; you guys were moving your headquarters out of the area, so my grandpa started loading the house up with THOUSANDS of Sierra games. and I mean, here I was, this young (maybe 7 or 8 years old?) girl, and I had just moved into the area from the San Diego area… so I started playing a bunch of King’s Quest and Police Quest, and y’know… the works 😉 and that marked the beginning of my fixation with Sierra games… oh man. Now I’m in high school, and I have big aspirations for myself. So, I guess my main point in this rant is that: Sometimes I think Oakhurst is just another one of those small towns that no one ever hears about, and I worry that I’ll always just be some small town girl and be oblivious to the rest of the world aswell… but then I think about all of the success Sierra has had, and it gives me hope. I’m not really planning on going into the gaming industry; I like to act in the theatre… I’m definitely going to go to college, but I won’t let myself forget that just because I come from a small town, I can’t excell in my industry. (whatever that happens to be)

…And I thank Sierra On-line for that hope.

Hey Mariah, remember that from acorns does a big oak tree grow, just believe in yourself. At the end of the day it is in your mind wheather you become a success or not, the race is only with yourself. If you live a long and happy life then what other kind of success is there? 🙂
