ParticipantI have tried everything I can think of to get this to work. Its such a great game for kids.
Can anyone help?
I get the audio hardware not recognized message and VDMSOund doesn’t seem to work on this.
I do get the opening screen and then a message “Oops!. You have tried something we didn’t think of. SCI version x.yyy.zz”Help

Link: http://www.qumran.org/ftp/net/gfd/dos/mdos/gosierra.zip(http://www.qumran.org/ftp/net/gfd/dos/mdos/gosierra.zip) Use this utility in the games directory. It has instructions, but you literally just need to drag the sound blaster driver onto the program and it is done automatically. This works for all sierra games that say- “Audio Hardware not detected!”

Participant(re: MIxed up Mother Goose (SCI) Windows XP) Which version of the game do you have, the enhanced or the later deluxe version? Are you running a DOS or Windows version? If DOS, try DOSBox.

Participant(re: MIxed up Mother Goose (SCI) Windows XP) I have tried dosbox and gosierra (latest version)
I still get the audio hardware not found message
I have the 3nd version of the game. The first was AGI EGA game, second was SCI VGA and 3rd deluxe.
This is on CD.
It has both Windows and Dos versions.
The Windows version gives memory errors and the compatibility feature in XP does nothingThanks

Participant(re: MIxed up Mother Goose (SCI) Windows XP) Did anyone manage to get this game running on WinXP?
I could get to the “choose your character” screen, but once I do, I get an error saying NTVDM.EXE crashed.
FYI, I’m running the deluxe version (Windows). -

ParticipantHi Juliana- Have you had any luck getting mgdx to run. I am at the same level but during the past week I have progressed into the game twice. Unfortunately I haven,t been able to recreate this. Interesting though I can go to saved games (from old Windows ME days) without any problem. Maybe this may trigger some thought in some of others. PS Itoo have tried gosierra, dosbox and vdms without success
