(re: re: Bugs and Troubleshooting) That’s okay…
I actually like this solution better – opening a bugs section. I should have thought of it myself!

do you have the CD in the drive? This happened to me with KQ6 when I tried to play without the CD.

      (KQ8) Dumb Question:
Is KQ8 actually a game or just movie with a game loading screen that crashes after loading for 10 minutes?
Seriously, cause I just spent 2 days trying to get it to run on a K6, (clean boot, 50mb Virtual Memory, DirectX6 (and 9), 640Res w/16 bit-color, closed all programs except Explorer, etc)
      I have the min. requirements:
266mhz, 64mb ram, 600mb HD space, etc etc, but the game ALWAYS crashes after loading the “Kingdom of Daventry”… I get a split second of sound and then BLAM,locked-up black screen. (and yes, I waited a half an hour to see if it would eventually load)
Does KQ8 just not like the K6?
      Perhaps more importantly…
Why did it ask me for a Combat Difficulty level?
I would like or Me Gusto oder ich will: ANY HELP, IDEAS…
      Many Thanks

      (help for LSL 6)

I’m playing LSL 6 on an XP system and when i go to enter the cellulite drainage salon a window pops up saying “Oops, you did something we weren’t expecting, whatever it was you don’t have to do it to beat the game.Try a different solution.” How can I beat the game if I can’t repair the liposuction machine. Is there a patch or something to fix this?any help would be appreciated.

Are you running the game in compatibility mode? Is this a Windows or DOS version of LSL6?

I wouldn’t take the error message to heart, it’s a standard message that indicates you hit a bug they never came across during testing.

It is a dos version, and I use VDMS to handle the Emulation.

Don’t know if this will work or not, but try playing outside of VDMS just to get through the part where you’re having the crash. If you do get past that point, save your game, quit, then reload the game from within VDMS.

I had to do this in GK2 to get through a few hairy spots.

Have you checked Al Lowe’s trouble shooting page?

I don’t know if your problem is there, but it’s worth a look.
