For everyone keeping track of this story (which seems to be everyone since we broke the story about the CGM cover) we’ve got new information we are reporting over at LarryLives. Our sources are telling us that Sierra is planning an official news announcement about the new game (Magna Cum Laude) as early as tomorrow, Oct. 23rd!
We suspect that this will be followed by a tremendous influx of news about the game, which we will (naturally) be reporting the second we get it. In the meantime, we are recommending everyone keep an eye on the Sierra corporate news section, as well as (of course!) LarryLives.com.

(Question to Roberta/Ken about King’s Quest inconsistencies) Hello,
I was wondering if Roberta, or Ken, could answer us a question that we’ve encountered a problem with:
In both KQ6 and KQ8, we travel to the Land of the Dead. However, It’s not the same Lord in each game. One is nameless and looks really cool (KQ6). The other is based on egyptian mythology (KQ8, Azriel). Why are there two different Lords of the Dead? Is there any explanation to this or to the difference between the lands of the dead found in each game? -
(re: Question to Roberta/Ken about King’s Quest inconsistencies) I think they were two diferent worlds: the one in KQ6 was “The land of the dead” and the one in KQ8 was “Dimension of the dead” or something like that,but well, they are apparently the same…
And keep the good work with KQ9, im really excited about it 🙂 -

I imagine, it’s because it’s fantasy, and ya go to the “Land of the Dead” based on the mythos. For example, if in KQ9 (yeah right), the adventure had you in Asgard, when you ventured to the Land of the Dead, you would probably end up in Hel or Valhalla. -
