ParticipantHello friends,
I have the original LSL 7 : Love for Sail.
When I try to install it on my XP, I get an error message relating to the “Flow Divider by 0” and then it shut down. I installed the Dos version but the sound is awful.Of course I can’t format a floppy disk under XP because the system wont recognize the /s option of the Format command. I tried formating a floppy with the FAT system but that wont’t help since I dont have my cd-rom connected.
Dos really suck under XP.Any idea anybody?
Larry, can you help me?
Please?

Participant(re: Leisure Suit Larry 7: Love For Sail in XP) Hi, Yanick. I’ve seen this topic come up alot at the Sierra boards. It happens in alot of games other than LSL7. Try searching for ‘divide by zero’ in the search and you should find people had the same problems. Go here:

to the LSL forum. They should help you out. 🙂

When the install asks to check your system, skip the test and just install the game. You will also need this utility, as the setup will be hidden. Leisure Suit Larry 7 – Setup Fix:

For playing DOS games under XP, use VDMSound. It will give you great sound under XP. VDMSound 2.1.0:
