Hey, I have Win 98 and I bought the old school KQ 6 on floppies and am running it through DOS. The problem, though, is my computer says in setup that I dont have a microsoft compatible mouse (I’ve tried 3 different ones) and it will only let me use the keyboard to play! Anyone know how to fix this problem? I also cant get it to play any sound.

You might be better off running KQ6 on an emulation layer instead of tweaking it to work with Windows. Check out DOSBOX:

If you’ve got any other old school DOS games, bust them out. I’ve had quite a bit of success playing stuff that is impossible to run under anything besides a native DOS system and an original Soundblaster card. It’s even got a modem over TCP/IP emulation. I was able to play Populous with a friend of mine over the ‘Net using this feature.
