Have anyone here read the Kings Quest novels ? I think three of them were released. I would post pictures of them if I could make my scanner work 🙂
Anyway, if anyone has read them, could you tell me if they are any good? I still haven’t read them myself since I don’t want any tear on them.

(re: Kings Quest novels) They’re OK. To me, they’re the typical fantasy stories. Of course, I haven’t read them in years.
I did write reviews for them at my web site, though, so you can go to

and go to the King’s Quest section. You should find them there. 🙂

The Flying Castle was AWFUL. The only good thing in it was Alex himself and one small part where Alex has to cross a river. Other than that, it was your standard castle adventure on crack. The other two were much, MUCH better. I even keep mine in plastic bags and locked in a chest, but I still had to read them once.

(re: re: Kings Quest novels) Sierra had nothing to do with the Kings Quest novels, beyond licensing a company the permission to write them. I asked Roberta if she read them, and she says she thinks she did, and that she thought they were ok, not great.

The first 2 novels were good, I haven’t read the 3rd, but I’m looking for it. It would have been nice for someone to write more.
