Im sure most have you have already known of this but, you all know of the way to complete the game without even going into the Realm of the Undead Right?
If not I’ll give you curious readers the jist of it. I havent replayed the game this way for a long while so my memory is a little hazy. Note: This was the first ending I ended the game with….go figure.

It begins right after you bring Beauty to the beast and she gives you her clothes. Yes they serve a better purpose than to put out flames with. You go back to the castle and go into the little hut to the left and put on beauty’s clothing. Alex or the narrator makes a funny comment on the action. We go right through the front doors fooling those stupid muts forcing them to belive Alex is a maid for the wedding. We go inside and into the room on the left. We hear dishes crash and some lady or man ( i cant remember :S ) and we walk out of the room and stuff our clothes into the big vase on the floor. Alex goes upstairs and almost walks right into a patrol of guard dogs. When both the guard dogs’ backs are turned, Alex walks behind the pillar on the right. That part is hard because of the patroling dogs but you have to do something with the painting and the nail its on, and then put them both back up on the wall before a guard passes by. Oh, and the painting cant be down when the guard passes by or he’ll spot you. You WILL have to hide behind the pillar when the guard passes by or he’ll spot you. I think you have to use the hand icon on the pillar either that or stand directly behind it. Everything from here is really hazy. For some reason the guards leave i think. But somehow your able to get to cassima’s room and look talk to her through the keyhole in the door. In the end you get the evidence you need to get past ……oh god i cant remeber the damn sheep dog …Sullidan?….anyways thats the guy im talking about. you get into the wedding cerimony room and instead of Cassima’s parents barging in, you use the mirror on Cassima (aka. Shamir) to reveal that its really Shamir and not Cassima. Thus starting the chase for Al Hasred.

You guy can fill in the hazy parts i cant remember. and go try it yourself!

Ooo KQ6, one of my favorite games 😀 When you’re behind the pillar in the castle, you use the nightingale to distract the guards.. they leave, you take the nail and leave the painting on the floor. You can then use the nail to open the trunk in Al Hazred’s room to find the evidence letters which Saladin (a Collie) then sees. The rest sounds pretty good to me 🙂 Such a great game! BTW, did you know Saladin’s voice is the same as Frollo in
Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame? purty cool 😉

This is the only ending I can even do at the moment, because I’m having trouble with the game locking up in the swamp (when stick-in-the-mud and rotten tomato are slinging the ooze around). I’ve read a lot of ways to get around this problem, but none of them have worked, so I just have to go the short way. It’s odd, because I’m not running the game in a particularly new OS…I have an old laptop with Win95 on it (which, of course, is still slightly newer than the game!) that I use for playing the old games…and KQ6 is the only one that still gives me technical trouble.

It’s okay though; when I first got the game I played it through the long way over and over…it’s a nice change to have to do it the other way. Despite it being shorter, I do actually think it’s harder this way! I had a lot more trouble figuring out how to do things inside the castle…that portrait thing really stumped me for a long time.
