King’s Quest VI on Game-Nostalgia!

This may be old news but KQIV was added to Game-Nostalgia to go along with Dagger of Amon Ra.  This is a great site!  It does the best job I have seen archiving these games.

On another note, Congradulations to Ken and Roberta for the splash down of their new boat in Taiwan!

I decided to replay King’s Quest VI over the weekend.  I managed to get the Windows version working in DosBox.  It worked almost flawlessly except for some problems with the midi music getting stuck on a note while the rest of the music would continue to play fine, and there were a few other minor sound quirks.  I thought I remembered that you could have both text and speech at once, but I guess I was wrong.  I’d like to see a patch that enables text and speech in games that don’t already have it.
