I am fan of Old Games especially civil war generals 2!
Is the source code of The old games available (under some license like open source or whatever) to be able to make add ons or patches?
Not that I am aware of. For the most part the current license holders of the old Sierra property have buried it and I’m not aware of any usage or publication still ongoing other than the occasional “Leisure Suit Larry game”.
I do not see how that would make sense to burry the CWG series, when companies like MG would most likely polish it off, like they have done with numerous other retro re-releases.
It just doesn’t make sense to me. I have yet to see any current civil war game that gives similar enjoyment.
