iNCA 2 WONT WORK

Hi,i just got INCA 2,used,problem is,i just cant get it to run.The spot which has the system requirements on the box is worn away ,so i cant see the sys requirements, and i looked all over the net and have found absolutely nothing,zip,nada on this game,nothing!.I am using a pentium 200mmx,and win\98se,sounblaster sound card,in other words all pretty standard hardware which all my other games have no probs with,but INCA 2 just wont operate,game wont even install,i am getting tons of error messages,too many to mention.There’s nothing wrong with cd because another copy does the same.Any suggestions besides giving it the ol heave- ho in the trash?Thanks

The Coktel Vision CD games seem to be very picky about the CD-ROM driver. They really want the old DOS “MSCDEX.EXE” driver. Try playing the game in pure DOS. You might also try making a boot disk to play the game (look on the Inca 2 CD, there is a folder called BOOTDISK.)

Thanks for your suggestions “Collector”,your suggestions worked!But I also figured out an easier solution,I installed Inca2 on my old trusty 386 pc and it worked perfectly, first try,with no tweaking at all!Its a 386dx pc with an isa soundblaster 1.0 card,8 megs of ram, 4x cd-rom,and only 512k of video ram!,runs on dos 6.22, and win 3.11.Figured I’d post this system ,so that other players can possibly gain help from it.KEEP those old pc’s!!!!!!!!!there’re fabulous for old games.I set the date on this 386 10 years ago and put it away,the time and date are RIGHT ON THE MONEY after all that time!!!,it even accounted for daylight savings!!Ahhh ,the good old days, when games practically installed themselves,not like todays pc’s.I didnt think the game would ever run on an old system like this,so i didnt bother,never say never!Thanx!!!
