ParticipantKing’s Quest completely changed my life. It sounds corny, but it’s true. I remember playing the very first 2 KQs way back in the late 80s for my first mac when I was probably 6 or 7. KQ 5 and 6 are my absolute favorites. Simply magical. For some reason I can’t quite explain, I STILL play all these games in my adulthood even though I know them in and out probably 100 times over(I’m actually playing KQ7 once again right now)! They still totally sweep me away. No other games have done that to me quite the same, they are just inspiring and always get my imagination racing. I’ll never forget playing them for the first time.
I just found out about this site and the fact that Ken Williams looks at these. Well, if you read this Ken, I just wanted you and Roberta to know that these games mean the world to someone out here. The stories, the interaction, the artwork are all a very deep part of me and I hope you two realize how magical these games are. Can you imagine a KQ5-6 style game with today’s graphics? Like “The Longest Journey” or “Still Life” style only obviously much better. Or even something completely realistic like HL2 graphics or something. That’s just too awesome to even think about, a dream come true. The game world is absolutely missing its heart without King’s Quest, it’s really sad. Maybe someday, somehow…
Anyway, cheers to the Williams’ and all the fans. It’s great that there’s a place like this where it’s still being discussed and we can show our appreciation!

ParticipantI give a haughty laugh every time someone anticipates a console game with the same emotional impact as a major motion picture. I already get that every time I boot up King’s Quest VI.
