and I want this film to be great. Part of that means I need to get lots of research and interviews to make this movie so accurate that it has historical importance in preserving this corner of video game history.
I would love to get into contact with Ken and Roberta Williams, since they basically started this whole adventure game thing… and were #1 at it until they retired. I also recently e-mailed Ron Gilbert. I’m planning on getting recorded interviews with these guys… And helping me figure out how to make this movie since I wasn’t even born until 1995.
This movie is planned to be 150 minutes, equal parts drama and comedy… with a lot of rapid fire scenes, quirky verbose dialog, and an ensemble cast to make the subject matter interesting to all. Bear in mind, this is an indie film with a $10,000 to $30,000 budget. (Wildly subject to change, however).
I’d like to know stuff like how the team worked together, interesting stories, what the market was like, what complications there were, what computers and software was used, what personalities I’d find in PNC dev team, and so on. Not to mention their personal stories.
I’d also love to run over the story of my film (which I have already written down extensively and had meetings with other filmmakers about) for their take on how well it captures the subject matter… or the overall quality.
As a side project, these interviews will be in the special features of the movie’s home release, and will be incorporated into a documentary side project I’ll be doing for this movie… since I want my extensive research on the movie to get its own release, for the public’s entertainment or enlightenment.
Anyways, if Ken and Roberta, or anyone that can represent them, would like to contact me… I am:

Please hit me up, I’d love to get an interview… and I’ll drive anywhere anytime to do it. It’ll all be at your convenience. It’ll be a long interview, but it’s with the goal of being something very informative and uplifting. I’m sure this movie could be one of the great indie flicks of film history with the right connections, efforts, and people.
