Help: I can’t get King’s Quest 5 or 6 to work in XP

Every time I try to install it, it says my current display driver is not supported by this game. Where can I get a supported driver?

You need to set your resolution down to 640×480 256 colors before you can install or play the game. Compatibility mode does not change this soon enough before the game checks it. Go to your advanced display settings to change to this display mode befor you install or play KQ5.

I went into control panel and display. I tried moving the bar as far as it would go and it stopped at 800×600. Is there another way to change it?

Click the Advanced button. Go to the Adapter tab. Click the “List all modes” button.
