Growing up with a father who was big into the home computer boom of the 1980’s, I’ve grown up with these games. The LSL, KQ, PQ, and SQ series were always my favorites. I have a big spot in my heart for these games. I can’t really explain the feelings that are generated from playing these games now, but it’s become something really important to me. My father died two years ago and playing them now, like we did 20 years ago together in our living room, makes me smile. Every time a new game would come out, we’d be on our way to Egg Head to purchase it! Sometimes people don’t understand the important role these games had on my life, but they really did. They represent a time in my life that I’ll never forget. Those moments playing Kings Quest and walking through the old spooky mansion or trying to climb up the whale’s tongue, trying to walk through those poison weeds in Space Quest on super slow mode (one click at a time! Took forever! lol), or finding out how Larry Laffer was made after I accidently walked into the wrong dark alley. I just wanted to give my thanks to you guys for having the ideas and the ambition to make these. You filled my computer screen with a lifelong amount of pure fun and great memories.
