Gold Rush help needed!!!!

I’ve been playing this game for the first time in years!! I made it to Sutter’s fort, and I remember you need to trade your mule with Jake’s, so I branded it but whenever I try to leave it in the corral to trade it out no matter what I type the game asks “What do you mean?”

What is the oppropriate command for leaving the mule in the corral???

I believe you just type “Take mule”.
