Has anyone else visited the places in GK??

I went on a tour of Germany a few years back. Made sure to visit Neuchwanstein(I wanted to touch where the panels were, but was afraid I’d get in trouble, plus its always crowded), Marienplatz in Munich, and stumbled across the right half of Rittersberg (the church was cropped in from somewhere else). I also might be going to visit New Orleans in a few months.

Indeed! I’ve also been to Neuschwanstein and the Marienplatz, as well as the Rennes-le-Château area. I have seen most locations from GK3, and took pictures of them. I have a nice picture of me sitting in the Devil’s Armchair (and I survived it) 😉

(re: GK Tourism) I’d LOVE to visit those places, especially New Orleans. I plan on it one day. (inspired by GK of course!) There is, however, a traveler who visited Rennes le Chateau and wrote about his journey here:

He refers to GK often and how the two differ and are alike. He said that he slept at the Devil’s Armchair!

(re: GK Tourism) Last year I spent a week in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. While there, I took the opportunity to visit some of the GK locations. I visited Napolean House, St. Louis Cathederal, Jackson Square, Tulane University, Lake Ponchatran, and a couple of Voodoo shops in the Quarter. While I didn’t get to investigate any ritualistic murders, I did get to have a lot of fun. 😉

Man I would love to visit some the GK places! I live in The Netherlands so visiting Germany or France isn’t that difficult but unfortunately I don’t know anybody who wants to come with me. Most of my friends rather go the beach, bar or club on their vacation and get totally wasted and do the same thing the next day! Ow well that doesn’t sound bad at all 😉

      (re: GK Tourism) Hi Bobby,

Last year I visited Munich, here is a photo of the Dienerstrasse in real life!

      (re: GK Tourism) Julie,

Here are the pictures I have from Rennes-le-Château and surrounding areas. While browsing them, I noticed most have my family or friend on them, so I didn’t include those, sorry.

BTW, the other traveller indicates the Château de Blanchefort can only be accessed by rock climbing. This is not true (although it is the most direct): there is a small path on the left before arriving to the castle that leads to the other side of the casle plateau. Much easier 😉

(re: GK Tourism) Hi, everyone – I’m new and this is my first post!

I visited Germany back in 2000, before I had played any of the Gabriel Knight games, and I saw Neuschwanstein, Munich, and Herrenchiemsee. It was interesting to play the game later and see the places where I had been in real life. I also speak German, so that added an element of fun for me in playing the game.
