      Was Ecoquest 2 ever released on CD, or only diskette?

      It was never released on cd.

      Although there must have been plans for it, because the diskette version features those certain legendary voiced lines like “This place is a sewer.”

      That was the only line I could hear on EQ2 too. Is there any way to play the game with all of the voices? I’ll try it with VDMS.
