      Okay, I’m replaying KQ7 and I’ve run into a slight problem. It’s been a very long time since I last played this episode so there are some things that I can’t quite remember.

      Anyway, I’m in Ooga Booga land as Valanice. It’s Chapter 5, I think. I’m trying to get Count Tsepish’s tomb open, and I went to the pumpkin house where the ghoul kids live and picked up a stick of dynamite that was left lying on the ground. A stupid move, I know, as the dynamite blew Valanice to smithereens as soon as she put it in her pocket. The problem is that when asked if I wanted to try again, I said “Yes”, but the dynamite was still in my pocket. So every time I try again I just get blown up all over again in a matter of seconds. It won’t let me do anything with the dynamite. And when I gave up and pressed “No” instead of “Yes”, it saved my game progress at that point so now I can’t seem to do anything or get anywhere without being blown up. Is there anything I can do? I’d really prefer not to have to restart my game as I’m very far in. Help, please? I’m desperate!

      If you notice after you click Try Again, you have a bit of time before the dynamite explodes again. Take advantage of that time and walk a little before it blows up. Keep clicking Try Again and eventually, with baby steps, you’ll make it to the tomb.

      It’s a timer bug. Simply use a program like Turbo. Doesn’t matter if you’re using DOS or Windows, except with DOS you need to load Turbo prior to loading the game.

      Set it to 30% (or lower if you need), and you will pass the firecracker scene with ease. Close Turbo after beating the sequence of course 🙂
