Participant(re: Dryad musical theme in HQ1) Yes, you are right. Wonderful song…
Now compare Grieg’s “Anitra’s Dance” to the tune you hear in Hotel Mordavia, QFG4. 🙂 -

So nice to know that someone else actually knows that the “Inn of Mordavia” theme was actually written by Grieg! I thought I was the only one. I didn’t know it at first…while I’ve always been pretty familiar with classical composers, I didn’t know anything by Grieg other than “In the Hall of the Mountain King”. Then, one day about 6 years ago when I was working as a clerk in a bookstore, “Anitra’s Dance” came over the store’s speakers. (We always had classical music playing). And I said, “Oh my God, it’s the Inn of Mordavia theme!” Of course, none of the other clerks had the slighest idea what I was talking about…

Participant(re: re: re: Dryad musical theme in HQ1) Lol. Yes, I also heard the tune on a classical radio station… I looked up the song’s name on the on-line playlist. It’s a very nice tune… I wonder why it was used for QFG4?

Participant(re: re: re: Dryad musical theme in HQ1) Both Anitra’s Dance and Hall of the Mountain King are from the play Peer Gynt by Ibsen. Anitra was the troll princess that danced for Peer and seduced him in the beginning of his journey.
