Hey everyone! I’ve seen a couple threads in the past year or so about people using Gold Rush or Mixed Up Mother Goose in the classroom. Well, we are studying ancient Egypt in my 6th grade social studies class, so what we did was created some save points in the Laura Bow 2 game and played through parts pertaining to Egyptian history on the projector for the students. They all seemed very engaged! It’s neat because they are about the same age as I was when I was really into Sierra games. A lot of the kids were suggesting things for Laura to do to try to overcome obstacles. A couple were commenting that the graphics were really good “for that time.” LOL!
