Codename: Iceman Sequel

I would like if ken could clear this up….whatever happened to the sequel for this? I rememeber reading something from one of the sierra catalogs about a sequel? It never came to life though, was it because Jims Walls left for Tsunami and you opted not to complete it? I thought that was one of the best games sierra ever put out

I don’t know anything else about this than the sequel’s (working) title was “Codename: Phoenix”.

That’s an interesting recollection, where did you hear that from? Ken, do you have any memories about the planned sequel to Codename: Iceman?

I remember reading that same title in one of the Sierra Magazines. I believe it was in the Rumors section of the magazine, but I couldn’t tell you which issue.

The Codename: Iceman sequal was mentioned in a catalog that came with King’s Quest 5, I think. I actually wrote a letter to Sierra customer service asking about it, and the reply was something along the line of “we decided against it in the short term, but in the long term we may change our minds”. And Codename: Iceman came out quite a few years before Jim Walls left Sierra over the PQ squabbles.
