ParticipantBrowsing in multiple windows appears to create some problems. My message has showed up where I had last looked instead of where I had clicked “Post Message.” Also, I think I inadvertantly replaced your message in the Suggestions thread about how to add a link to another message. I was editing a message when I browsed in another window to find out how to add a link. Thus, it appeared to edit your message instead of mine. Sorry about that. (I think this is where Emily ran into trouble too.)
Also, I got an error when I tried to delete my posts.
Finally, I found out that one can’t leave a subject out of a post and expect it to still be accessible.
Alpha testing is fun!!!

Participant(re: Browsing in multiple windows) I made some changes today … maybe I introduced a bug. Argh. I’ll do some testing and see if I can get it to repeat.
I DID find that I introduced a bug into deleting messages. That has been fixed (I hope)
Let me know if you find a way to repeat the problem you had (hint: turn off autonotification while you are testing – otherwise LOTS of people will get emails).
Thanks! Ken WPS Also, thank you for the tip on the problem with testing messages with no description. I’ll get that fixed tomorrow morning.

Participant(re: re: Browsing in multiple windows)
I have also had problems in the past where
I browsed to another page in a new browser window while typing a message in the original window, and when i posted the message it appended to the thread i’d browsed to in the second window, rather than to the thread i’d been posting to originally.I posted a bug report about that a few months ago (before you redesigned the pages) — so it’s not a new bug.

Participant(re: re: re: Browsing in multiple windows) I found a bug in this area earlier today – and, believe I fixed it.
Let me know if it happens again.

Participant(re: re: re: Browsing in multiple windows)
I reported Emily’s problem in my initial bug report when the site first started!

Participant(re: re: re: re: Browsing in multiple windows) I think I fixed it with the version of the code I released yesterday. At least: I can’t repeat it here. Let me know if it happens again.
