I would like to first thank you for giving people like myself the opportunity to talk with you. You and your wife have accomplished great things and have experienced much in the game industry. With that said, I would like to ask if there is any advice you would have for game programmers like myself just beginning their journey into the game industry? Is there anything that I should know or be concerned about that I might not learn from my books and classes?

Hello, I am a first time poster here. I too am a student
interested in game design. I am a senior, and a computer science major. Both my
girlfriend, of 3 years, and I are in the processes of beginning our Masters in
CS. I would love to hear any advice you may have about the game industry.

We both love your games, and enjoyed their masterful
storytelling. With so many of today’s games having budgets the size of
blockbuster movies, it seems lately many are lacking the depth your games had.

So, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for us young
      impressionable upstarts?
