Has anyone tried the recent game “Shadow of Destiny” on the PS2?? Its a Adventure game in the same vein as the Gabriel Knight series about a guy who is murdered, but goes to a Shadow Realm where a spirit gives him a time traveling device and saves his life, allowing him to go back in time and stop his death from happening.

Yes this is a great game, in fact i really need to pick it up again. Its out on ps2 and pc should be under 20$ for either version because unfortunatly i Dont think it ever sold very good. The game involves alot of time travel as you try and uncover how you died, there are also about 8 or more different path through the game depending on how you make decisions through the different time periods. I would higly recommend anyone to pick this game up if you get the chance because it is a very very unique game with a great story line.

South Africans can pick this up from http://www.take2.co.za for R231 (between $30 and $35 for the Americans reading this). Shipping is R29 anywhere in South Africa. That’s a bit expensive, so I havn’t bought it myself and thus can’t give my opinion. However, clearly there are others who would heartily recommend it. 🙂 Take note: many other reasonably priced games are available from that site as well. Including the Great Empires Collection (Caeser 3, Pharoah + Cleopatra expansion, Zeus + Poseidon expansion) for only R82. Emperor isn’t included, but you can buy that separately for R45.
