I have just replayed the game, after many years. My impression of it can be found earlier in this thread, and it hasn’t changed. If anything, it only grew stronger. More than any other Sierra game, “Conquest of the Longbow” feels like an epic film – mostly because it tells a bigger-than-life story from start to finish, with such a rich historical background, in which the fantasy elements were so well implanted.
Speaking of historical background, I remember reading somewhere that the musical score of the game (as I have already said, I think it’s Mark Seibert’s finest) is adpted from actual ballads written and composed on Robin Hood. Does anyone know if there’s any truth to this?
