Just checked out http://www.kq9.org — the fan project looks spectacular. Way to go, everyone! Am looking forward to its release.
Was also curious… (I’m new here and apologize if this has been covered elsewhere) but what are Roberta and Ken’s feelings about the project? I noticed they were guests for the May 15th chat, so my guess is they’re at least generally supportive/encouraging. I’m not sure what all the legal copyright issues involved are, and I would guess they probably couldn’t have any direct involvement in the project, but it’s nice to see they’re well aware of all the effort being put into KQ9. Probably a huge treat for them (as it is for an old time Sierra fan like me) to see the ongoing interest in the King’s Quest adventures.
Also, any plans to release a playable or nonplayable demo showing some of the interface, animation, cut scenes, etc?
