What version of the game are you playing? (Mysteries pack version or standalone? Windows or DOS?) Saves will only work with the same version of the game, so I can maybe send you a save from ch4 but only if we are using the same version.
To put aside your saves, as described above, you need to save the saves themselves (GK2SG.000, GK2SG.001, etc.) and the directory file (GK2SG.DIR).
