(re: Gabriel Knight 2 saved games)
I’m pretty sure there are two files you need — one is the index of all the saves, and the other is the saved game itself. GK2SG.000 seems to me like it would be the game that fills up the first slot in the saves. GK2SG.001 would be the next, etc.
I’m just going by memory (don’t currently have it installed) so I could be completely wrong on this.

ps also, are you using the same version of the game that you did before, with the same patches installed, etc.?
