i probably know less about it than you do. cpc.com is the copyright protection file, file attrib hidden on the first disk of early sierra games. it was required to insert the first disk to play. just making copies of the first disk doesn’t work. there is a nice cracker out there (i don’t have the link because i’m at work), that allows you to “fix” the game but only if you have the original cpc.com first disk. however, you don’t have to have the original cpc.com first disk for that particular game – it can be any sierra cpc’d game. it’s a nice program i use myself to make backups of sierra disks. anyway, if no one else helps you before i get home, if you tell me what version of kq3 you have i’ll email you a fixed copy of the first disk.
