Recently Microsoft has started fixing it so that you must have 2000 or XP installed to run some of the newer games. At the same time, it has done nothing to make the OS more backwards compatible (even some games from as recent as two or three years ago won’t run well on it). And if that’s not unsporting, I don’t know what is.
