(re: Gabriel Knight 1) I’m playing the DOS version under WIN XP right now and everything seems to work fine, except for one thing: The game locks up at the beginning of day 5 just when the phone rings. I’ve tried to play under both WIN XP and 98 and exactly the same thing happens every time. I’m starting to wonder if the problem lies in the game itself, maybe there’s something wrong with the version I have.
But of course this could be a speed problem also, I’m just not sure what the problem is, but I’ll continue to try different things to try to get the game to work.
Meanwhile I would be very grateful if someone could send me a savegame from the beginning of day 5 or show me a site that has GK1 savegames.
