I don’t know, but at some point I will probably need to. I have an nvidia GeForce 2.
I think the version of RAMA I tried installing last week was a Windows version, not DOS. (aren’t VESA drivers only for DOS?) Still, I didn’t get it working under Windows anyway.
Gameboomers has a huge DOS FAQ, you might find an answer there…
