Well, what I did was to have VDM Sound installed (obviously) and then all you have to do is right-click Sierra.exe and select ‘run with VDMS’.
If the sound is laggy, download VDM Sound’s addon ‘Speedset’ (from http://vogons.zetafleet.com ). Copy speedset.exe and .dll to your KQ6 folder, and make a batch file in your KQ6 folder like so:
“speedset .005
sierra.exe” (delete quotes)
Then run that batch file with VDM Sound, and it *should* correct the speed problem with the music. Some later games aren’t supported by it, but I’m fairly sure KQ6 was one of the last and did get support.
