The first King’s Quest game requires the keyboard to be used to direct Graham’s actions, using simple verb-noun combinations. For example, he can get the bowl by typing “get bowl.” It sounds to me like you might be using the mouse to move him around. You can also use the arrow keys on the keyboard.
