I'll post anything here that it seems like people might want to know...

5/31/2008 Hello, everyone!  Ken just informed us that his newest book is about to be released.  Based on his love of boating, it looks like a very interesting read.  I fully intend purchasing a copy myself when I get a chance.  For those of you who are interested, here's an excerpt from his blog. FYI, Faith posted the blog itself.  I just felt like adding this little tidbit. :)

Greetings all.

Roberta and I are currently relaxing in Seattle waiting for our boat (Sans Souci) to be shipped home from Costa Rica. It should load aboard a giant freighter sometime next week, and in just a few weeks arrive in Victoria Canada.

Because it has taken much longer than anticipated to get the boat out of Costa Rica, we’re planning to use a delivery crew to run the boat from Canada north to Alaska. Roberta and I will fly to Alaska around July 9th, and then start exploring. It will be an “interesting” trip for us, and is somewhat of an experiment. As most of you know, I don’t fish, and neither Roberta or I really eat fish. In spite of this, my boating friends tell me Alaska will become our favorite cruising destination, and I hope they are right!

Regular blog updates from Alaska should start around the second week of July. We’ll spend a few weeks exploring the area around Juneau and Glacier Bay and then spend a month or two moseying our way south to the Pacific NW.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on editing my blog updates from the Costa Rica trip into a book. If you have been reading my blog updates, you’ve essentially already read the book. That said, there are some cool features to the book. For instance, I added an index which breaks everything out by the topics discussed. I also added a really nice double-page map.

The book will appear in a month on Amazon, but copies are available now directly from the publisher.  My guess is that Amazon’s pricing will be well below the pricing from the publisher. If you decide to buy the book, and have the patience, you may want to wait for it to show up on Amazon.

I am releasing two different versions of the book. The print cost on the full-color version is outrageous, and this is reflected in the price. I’ll leave it up to you as to whether or not the color version is worth the added cost. The black and white version is essentially the same, looks great, and is a whole lot cheaper.

8/18/2007 Sorry not to be keeping this site more up to date. Does anyone want to help out by being an admin on this site? It could be a great site, but I never have time to work on it....
5/12/2007 When I'm not working on my boat, I tinker with my "hobby," a web site builder that I've been working on for a few years. Even though it is just a time-filler for me, there are a lot of people using it - around 17,000 different websites. I don't charge anything, and don't want to charge anything. It's meant to be a hobby, not a job. A pre-release version of the next major release of my product can be found at: http://arts.talkspot.com If anyone reading this wants to give me feedback on it, please go to that address and try building a website. This particular version of the product targets specifically artists and photographers. But, don't worry: You don't need to be an artist, photographer, or, if I've done my job correctly, very good with computers. As soon as I get this product launched, I'll start on versions for other uses. My current product is making a lot of people happy, but I'd be the first to admit that it needs a lot of work on useability. If you do try building a site, do the survey, and let me know how you did (or, where you got stuck).
5/10/2007 Added Interaction magazine from 1991
4/29/2007 Uploaded another old interaction magazine -- from 1990 this time.
4/19/2007 Uploaded an old copy of interaction magazine from 1989. It's huge (31 megabytes) - so expect a long time if you download.
4/18/2007 I just noticed that someone has found a way to get the old TSN (The Sierra Network) software running over the Internet. VERY COOL! My best wishes to the team doing this. TSN (or, sometimes called "The ImagiNation Network" was Sierra at its best, and way ahead of it's time.
4/11/2007 There is going to be a reunion of adventure game developers in Las Vegas, in August. Al Lowe is going, Jane Jenson too! Check it out - http://www.adventurecon.org
