Subject :Re: [sierragamers] Recent adventure games with a typing interface...
I was a fan of Police Quest, King's Quest, Space Quest and the rest. There are
a lot of good remakes of the original games coming out.

I like to push the envelope, so here's my 2 cents for an original game idea:
The New Explorers. It could be a game like Gold Rush or maybe Colonization.
Your goal might be to build an empire in the planets and moons of the solar
system. "Be Virgin Galactic".

Adventure game might be based on your encounters with other Explorers, piecing
together a mystery with clues from different planets and the moons of Jupiter
and Saturn, find out if the are lost civilizations. Alpha Centauri was kind of
like a space version of Colonization, but you went outside the solar system.

On the moon of Io, with the lava and volcanoes, you'd probably want to use
remote-controlled robots and limit production based on high costs of
maintenance. On Mars, operational costs might be so low that you send
reinforcements to help boost productivity.

If you have some free-time and want to talk about making a game like this, send
me an e-mail to my address. I won't respond to any public comments about this
game idea, so be sure to send me an e-mail directly.

When we're making the game, at some point it will be playable. Send me an
e-mail if you want to test it. We don't have a website yet, just posting some
thoughts at the Aquarium. http://www.bluefugu.info/aquarium
