Sierra games fan

I would like start by saying that I have been a serious gamer for the last 25 years and still play a lot of games.  I was fortunate enough to work at a computer store at the age of 15 and it's there that I discovered the beginning of my gaming with the Sierra titles.  At that time I recall Kings Quest 1 and 2 and Space Quest 1 being out for sale.  A friend of mine who owned a computer at the time played these games and I was so impressed with these games that I went out and bought my first computer.  I immediately purchased Kings Quest 1 and 2.  While playing Kings Quest 1 I noticed how beautiful the environment was in the game.  I loved the nature and the scenery.  The game was challenging by having to type your commands but somehow it just added to the experience.  Since then I went on to finish all the Kings Quests, Police Quests, Space Quests and Leaisure Suit Larry games.  While Colonels Bequest was my favorite game and it probably is still one of my favorite games of all time, ( I have finished aproximately 460 video games so far and counting).

I have question/comment..... I understand that over time the games have evolved with better graphics, more action, longer stories etc. etc. and with the new gaming generation the games have changed and most gaming companies create games to attract this generation.

What I would like to see is more games like Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, not necesseraly with graphics as the original Kings Quest or Police Quest but improved graphics such as Kings Quest VI or VII but the game play of an adventure game, with exploration as the main focus and not just shooting of enemies and timed levels or platform jumping.  I believe there are many older gamers who grew up with all the Sierra games and there would be enough of a market to create more of these games.  How about a new Kings Quest or Space Quest?  I love playing video games but I'm tired of playing all the war and gang games with just shooting and killing or jumping around.  I try to find more adventure games but there is not too many out there.

As a final word I just want to say that I loved all the Sierra games and I wish there were more games like it created because not everyone out there wants to just run around shooting and killing like in Halo or Grand Theft Auto.  I think Roberta Williams should create another Kings Quest or maybe a Space Quest because there are a lot of fans that would purchase these because they really liked the adventure games and with many older gamers out there I believe there is enough of a market that would be attracted to these games.
