Hi Ian,
I've downloaded the KQ3 remake, so hopefully I'll play it sometime soon! I'll let you know what I thought of it!
I work at Firemint (www.firemint.com). I've only been there a short time (since around the start of the year). We make mobile games for mobile phones (mostly high end, such as 3D car games like Fast And The Furious, World Rally Championship, and also Madden for EA), and we're now getting into Nintendo DS development. They're also done GBA working in the past. My first task there was as the level designer on a Nicktoons GBA platform game. That was fun. It's good working on mobile games, because they're much smaller and quicker to make than the new consoles, or PC titles, so you get to work on more variety, and do the fun stuff, without getting bogged down in massive development cycles. Firemint's games have been reviewed extremely well, and we're considered one of the leading mobile developers in the world, so it's a great place to be! Enjoying it a lot. - Murray www.muzboz.com

Its my pleasure Murray, I just needed to let everyone else in the community know about the best fan made projects out there, because there are so many different groups making and cancelling games, its hard to keep track on who's who! Anyway YOU WILL LOVE Kings Quest 3 remake, same style as the remakes of Kings Quest 1, 2. But i think they stayed more true to the original in number 3. (Kings quest 2 remake or retelling, was excellent) Kings Quest 3 is also my favourite of the entire Kings Quest Series. So i hope they didnt change to much. (i have not started the remake of Kings Quest 3 yet, Still busy with Kings Quest 2)
So you work and live in Australia. Nice. Most of my family has been moving there recently.
Im living in South Africa, Im a DJ and a Producer of 12 different styles of music, Im also General Manager of my Internet Company. ALL THANKS TO SIERRA!
Murray please email me about what you think of KINGS QUEST 3 Remake. (once you got it and started playing it.)
So what type of mobile games do you and your company make?
best regards
Ian-David Simpson
Cheers Mate! :)

Nice one. I've played the Tierra games, and loved them. Very well done. Especially Kings Quest 2+, where they added a whole horde of new story and puzzle elements, too, making it a more coherent and engaging experience than the original, even! I suppose they had all of Sierra's history to call upon to improve what was actually a fairly hotch potch game when released back in the early 80's! Brilliantly recaptured all the important stuff, while adding lots of fresh new content, and rich art, sound and story. King's Quest 3 is probably my favorite game, so I'm really excited to download the remake and check it out! Thanks for the link! I'm a game designer at a mobile games developer in Melbourne, and I most certainly owe my initial inspiration to Sierra, who had me drawing maps of their lands when I was a kid, and really immersing my mind in these worlds of possibilities and mystery! It's great to have these "fan" groups out there remaking the old classics from Sierra, just to get an opportunity to delve back into those worlds, and savour those old childhood delights a-fresh. :) - Murray www.muzboz.com
