Game Title: Lighthouse: The Dark Being
Release Date: xx-xx-1996
Release Number: 1
Series: CD-Rom Era

Description:  In Lighthouse you will travel through 6 distinctly different regions and will meet a cast of intriguing characters. You must solve a series of challenging animated puzzles, all closely tied into the story, to reach Dr. Krick and his baby daughter Amanda.  (From Mobygames description)

Roberta Williams, who designed Sierra's first game, Mystery House in 1980, felt it was time to write another murder mystery which lived up to the computer capabilities of the late eighties. Mystery House, which was put on public domain in 1988, was the first computer game ever with graphics, but it lacked colors, animation and sound. The Colonel's Bequest was developed, using EGA graphics, Sierra's SCI engine, sound and a music score, as well as featuring a deeper plot and more detailed character descriptions.

The game has a sequel, The Dagger of Amon Ra, which is also the last Laura Bow game. Both games are also included in the 1997 King's Quest Collection and the Roberta Williams Anthology. Although the original release of The Colonel's Bequest can still relatively easily be found on online auctions, a complete original game is considered as a true collector's item, as it contains many goodies which are often missing from second-hand sales, particularly the Laura Bow pen and notebook. The games copyright protection is also quite original: the gamer needs to use a magnifying glass (included in the box) to identify a fingerprint on the game screen.

I came across Lighthouse, which I played many years ago, but will not load in windows 10.

Even went to Geek support, no help. Guess the question is, any way possible to somehow

get these games and productivity CDs into Windows 10?

I would like to purchase a game from the Lighthouse series. Do you have a list of old Games the I could choose from.  I have played a few in the past and enjoyed them immensley.

Three newer installers (English, French, German) from 2008 that can be found on this page: http://www.squirtthecat.com/games/lighthouse/index.html allow to install the game (including later update patches) under newer Windows versions like Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8 if you have original CDs from 1996.

I have had a copy of this game for a lot of years and now wish to play it again. I run Vista also have XP on another computer I tried to install which did not work Is there any way it can be played on these systems?? I appreciate any help I can get.

I have kept Lighthouse for many years ago and want to play it again, however, I recall a patch that fixed a glitch that prevented making a turn riding in a careening 'mine car' in a large cave. Anybody know where I can get this patch??? The game can't be finished w/o it.
